Change them, people.

Also, stop using free unsecure Wi-Fi to do anthing you want secure without a VPN.

Kinja'd!!!

This person takes control of office cameras, sometimes home cameras. I have only watched one video, but they:

Play funny sounds to make the occupants look all over for the source of the sound

Play “Every Breath You Take” at the end of it.

If there are other IP devices (lighting, thermostats) this person will use those in the “prank” too.

Internet Protocol. Anything that connects to the internet. A lot of folks are connecting these things without taking the steps to keep them secure.

You probably have several in your home right now. Computers, tablets, smartphones, etc...

I saw a news story on the facebooks local to my home town and this guy had his “hacked”. I wouldn’t even consider it hacking, the guy had wide open WiFi, any dingus can go by, do an IP scan, and figure out what’s what on the network. The guy claimed that he was definitely hacked because the guy came into his network through “upnp” which leads me to believe he had no clue what was really going on.

Computer, Phone and TV, off the top of my head... I’d read on google that it’s possible to build a home where everything, from lights to, to the fridge, to climate control is connected, but none of that trickeld down to Brazil. Our heating systems are still wooden powered :p

One way to update the Sync system in Ford vehicles is to connect them to a wifi network. The Chrysler hacks were performed on vehicles that are always connected.
